Richardson Hitchins is choosing Ryan García and Devin Haney to win their fights on the May 2 card on Times Square in New York City. Haney’s return fight against former WBC champion and WBO 140 LB José Ramírez (29-2, 18 kos) is the one he feels he could lose. Ramírez can hit and has the amateur pedigree to win.
The former world champion of two divisions, Haney, was removed three times by Ryan and possibly saved by the referee in the seventh round of his fight on April 20. If Haney’s chin is not the same as that loss, Ramírez will take advantage of that weakness.
Rolly’s chin
Hitchins feels that the former Welter Welter champion of the Abba Rolly (16-2, 12 kos) can no longer have a great impact since Geronta Davis knocked out in the sixth round three years ago in 2022. He sees Garcia (24-1, 20 ko) as he has too much power for rosemary with a weight without being beaten.
Richardson believes that Haney and Ryan are only fighting for money now, and are not worried about winning belts or improving their trade. They are now entrepreneurs and take fights that “make sense” financially.

Ramírez looks slower, but his power remains the same. He still has a blow and fights with the same high pressure style that brought him success in his career.
Somehow, this fight is more difficult for Haney than the last against Ryan García because Ramírez will not take rounds. It will keep the pressure on Haney, forcing him to move and defend himself.
