Terence Crawford says that a fight between Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis is “definitely feasible” despite the fact that the two are good friends. Crawford states that it is a “sport” and can “Gain” in a fight between them.
Great dollars
A fight between the lightweight champion of WBC Shakur (11-0, 11 kos) and the omb Keyshawn champion (13-0, 9 kos) would make good money in PPV. They would have to put aside their brother Pact and focus on the green they would attract.
Both have been zoning, waiting for that giant Bank tight Against Tank (30-0-1, 28 kos) to fall on their laps. It hasn’t happened, and it probably will not.
Keyshawn needs this fight more than Shakur because he has already overcome the light division and is in a time borrowed. If they do not fight now in 135, it can be too late for 2026. Shakur would probably need to follow Keyshawn 147, 154 or 160 to fight him after this year.
“They would tear me if they fight each other, but at the same time, if they fight each other, it is a sport,” said Terence Crawford to Ring MagazineWhen asked what their thoughts would be if Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis fight.
“They will earn money together and possibly shake the hand later,” Crawford continued on a fight between Shakur and Keyshawn. “(Floyd) Mayweather and (Zab) Judah somehow got into the ring (April 8, 2006). I don’t know how their relationship with Shakur and Keyshawn compares, but it is definitely feasible and possible (for them to fight).
“(Lamont) Roach and Gervonta (Davis), I don’t know if they were friends or not, but they were from the same area. Then, it is definitely feasible, “Crawford said in a fight between Keyshawn and Stevenson.
Chasing the tank: an error
Shakur and Keyshawn should have seen writing on the wall a long time ago about his search for Tank Davis and understood that he had no hope. How could they be so wrong to think that they would throw a bone to give them the fight they have been asking for? It was so obvious that Gervonta would never fight with any of them, and wondered why both were so slow to understand.
It would be prudent for Shakur paste a 10 lb rehydration clause in the contract to prevent Keyshawn from rehydrating at 160 during the night. He will not beat Davis if he enters the ring with an aspect as big as David Benavász at night. Secondary weight control would need to be at night fighting to be effective, because if it’s the morning, Keyshawn could still explode before combat.
Both have been chasing the king of the light division, Gervonta Davis, trying to obtain a great day of payment against him, but his desperate sense of need has discouraged him.
Neither of them has taken any risk with their careers, choosing to fight people like Denys Berinchyk and electrician Josh Padley. It is quite obvious what Shakur and Keyshawn races are about. They want that cash. If both were willing to take risks to develop their careers fighting the best in the last two years, they would probably have fought against Tank.
